Pediatric Specialty at Danville - Medical Directors

Pediatric Specialty Care (PSC) Medical Day is pleased to welcome one of two new Medical Directors, Michaelyn Tinstman Notz, DO. Dr. Notz is a 2007 graduate of the Philadelphia College of Osteopathic Medicine, completing her internal medicine and pediatric residency at Geisinger Medical Center(2011). Her positions included co-chief of the med-peds program (2010-2011) and pediatric chief resident (2011-2012). Dr. Notz serves as the medical director at Geisinger Medical Center, for children with multiple medical problems and technology dependence; a pediatric hospitalist at Janet Weis Children’s Hospital; and as director of osteopathic medical education for Geisinger. Dr. Notz is recognized for her dedication to resident and student teaching, actively involved with the med-peds program, serving as core faculty and associate program director. During her free time, she enjoys spending time with her family and friends, exercising, reading and baking.

Pediatric Specialty Care Medical Day is pleased to welcome one of two new Medical Directors, Elizabeth Erin Scarlett, MD. Dr. Scarlett is a board-certified and fellowship-trained pediatric critical care specialist. Her clinical interests include transport medicine, resident education and mechanical ventilation. Dr. Scarlett attended the University of Connecticut School of Medicine, where she earned her medical degree (2003). She completed her residency (2006) and her fellowship (2009) at Strong Memorial Hospital. Dr. Scarlett is certified by the American Board of Pediatrics in pediatric critical care medicine. Dr. Scarlett is a native of Southbury, Connecticut, enjoys reading and exploring different kinds of cuisine.
